Tyrone Power, Marlene Dietrich.
”Calm down,Marlene.It’s only a moovie.”
Agatha Christie praises Billy Wilder for his direction of WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION. Nice to hear the author was pleased with the film adaptation of her play.
The above pictures come from the booklet accompanying the blu-ray of the film.
What an awful photo! It does Marlene no favours at all. Saw the television remake on You Tube, and while obviously not as good as the Wilder it comes pretty close. Diana Rigg wonderful in the Dietrich role
Totally agree. Doesn’t even reflect anything in the film.
Can imagine Diana being good.
Vienna, what a nice touch of congratulations that Agatha Christie bestowed upon filmmaker Billy Wilder. WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION is masterfully done by all who collaborated to make it so.
I like the picture of Tyrone Power and Marlene Dietrich. I presume they know the ending of the story.
Lovely to see that rare letter in her own handwriting. Wilder must have been pleased.
Yes, they may be thinking about the ending!
It’s great to see that note from Agatha Christie.
It’s great, isn’t it. Extras on blu rays can be so interesting.
