  1. Vienna, what wonderful photographs you continue to choose. I really like the ones from THE WESTERNER(1940), THE SNAKE PIT(1948), RAFFLES(1939), HIGH SIERRA(1941), and THEY DRIVE BY NIGHT(1940).

    Referring back to a previous post where you had an idea of a poll, a simple one of listing your Top Ten Hollywood sound films covering 1927 to 1960. Well, that is easier said than done. I would have a hard time of listing just Ten, even by placing them in categories. Although, I’m attempting to do the impossible. Hopefully I’ll back with you in future with some kind of “fun” list.

    I know it’s difficult to whittle favourites down to ten, but I was curious to see if we could get any consensus on what films turn up often in fans’ lists as,opposed to the critics!
