I like the alternate title
I’d quickly open my wallet for a print of Night Passage with Jimmy and Audie. Great artwork/image on that one.
It is great art work as you say.
Funny you write about this, because, I wanted to start collecting old movie posters, and this list gave me a perfect start!
Thanks!
Good luck in your search!
I’m enormously fond of Italian posters and like to use them to illustrate posts where possible. There’s something extremely evocative about their pulpy style.
German and French are a bit more hit and miss, in my opinion, but there are some superb ones too.
Wish I could identify some of the great illustrators.
Do a search for Anselmo Ballester. He is responsible for some of the most amazing Italian poster art.
Just had a look at some of his posters. Wonderful. Thanks, Colin.
