Charcoal Drawings

These charcoal drawings were found in a flea market in France. Can anyone identify the artist and the second subject. Could the first one be Ginger Rogers? If it is Ginger, it looks like 1940s period.

I’ve tried searching under French artists but with no luck.

  1. I’d agree with it being Ginger; the other looks to be Eve Arden.

I would say the sketches are by an amateur, and copies of photographs (perhaps from magazines). They certainly don’t appear to have been done “in person”.

  2. Yes, the first drawing is Indeed Ginger Rogers in the exact hairstyle that she wore in the 1944 film, “Lady In The Dark’. (Could the second drawing be Ann Sheridan?)
