A Universal City tribute to Carl Laemmle , the head of Universal Studios in 1932.

Many familiar faces, presumably all under contract.

Back Row:

Boris Karloff, Genevieve Tobin, John Boles, Tala Birall, James Whale, James Flavin, Bela Lugosi, ?  Raymond Massey.

Middle Row:

Leo Carillo………. I can only recognise Tom Mix, Lew Ayres,,Noah Beery Jr, Lola Lane at far right.

Front Row:

A very young Mickey Rooney, and Carl Laemmle in the middle.

Any other names? Maybe some local politicians?

    • Well obviously I don’t agree with you or I wouldn’t have used it. It doesn’t reflect the film but I’m sure it was popular for publicity purposes in the film magazines etc

  1. Vienna, these are really neat photographs, as always. The top photo of a tribute to Carl Laemmle is a tough one to identify all the people. I think that is William Wyler on the top row between Bela Legosi and Raymond Massey.
