Thanks, Bob. Seeing the pickpocket in action!
Grand photos and that one from Pickup on South Street is a dandy.
Isn’t it just, I bet the two extras enjoyed being in it.
I confess to being a bit surprised to see Broderick Crawford and Clark Gable in the same picture. I’m even more surprised to see that Crawford is taller. I’m always glad to see Ava.
Yes, that surprised me too, Broderick being taller.
IMDB (and other sites) give Gable as 6’1”, one inch taller than Crawford.
Here’s a pic where they’re all the same height 😉
As Barbara Britton and Dorothy Hart look so alike, were they playing sisters in Gunfighters?
Yes, they were.
This is the only film they were both in.
Thanks Bob. Gunfighters and Albuquerque were shot ‘back to back’ with the same crew plus Barbara Britton again.
That’s interesting,Jim. Didn’t know that. Money saved shooting back to back.
I always remember Dorothy’s wonderful scene in The Naked City where she confronts Howard Duff who has given her an engagement ring which turns out to be stolen.
I first saw Dorothy in Loan Shark and The Story of Molly X. I see from IMDB her last film was in 1955. She subsequently worked for the United Nations,
