Is it really ten years this month since my first tentative entry into the film blogosphere. Yes it is , and where has the time gone!
It’s always been good to hear from fellow fans around the world who also enjoy vintage Hollywood. And to follow other bloggers who write so well and introduce me to films I don’t know.
it’s also been good , continuing to see films for the very first time and researching stars and films and finding interesting illustrations.
I am grateful to WordPress for providing the platform for the blog.
And any excuse to feature favourite photos!

Lizabeth Scott and Arthur Kennedy. TOO LATE FOR TEARS.
of course we’ll keep the money.

Gale Sondergaard. Bette Davis. THE LETTER

Katharine Hepburn.STAGE DOOR
Those darn calla lilies – in bloom again.

Many congratulations 👏 👏 👏, and ⏭ your next post 🎬
Thanks, Steve and Bob.
Congratulations on your first decade of blogging, and here’s to many more! I always enjoy reading your posts I can say I’ve had my interest in a number of films and filmmakers piqued by your highlighting of them. Keep up the good work.
Thanks, Colin. And long may you continue too at Riding The High Country (https://livius1.com)
Your sanity is so refreshing! Thank you for that and your great research.
Vienna, Congratulations on your first ten years of blogging and I wish you many more. I admire your stick to itiveness, because most blogs don’t go beyond a few years, if that. I so enjoy your choice of photographs and write-ups.
Take care and continue doing what you are doing.
Best,
Walter
Thanks, Walter for all your interesting comments over the years. We bloggers appreciate your input.
Can it have been ten years?! Congratulations on an always fascinating blog – we vintage film fans have to stick together. Keep up the excellent work.
Yep, it’s a decade! Fortunately there are still plenty of Classic Hollywood fans , helped no doubt in America by all the many films TCM screens.
Many congratulations. It’s also Incredible that I have known you for over 50 years! Here’s to many more postings. Please note new email.
How time flies!
Happy blogiversary, Vienna! I love your pictures — especially that lobby card for The Women. BOY would I love to have that in my collection! I just added several when I was in L.A. recently, including Casasblanca and Morocco, but I’d trade them both for The Women! Here’s to 10 more years and beyond!
Thanks, Karen. Original stills , lobby cards, posters are pretty expensive but it must be great having them.
All of the lobby cards I buy now are reprints. I used to buy originals, but that was like 30 plus years ago, when they were SO much more reasonable!
There’s nothing to beat an original ( just the thought that it was produced 80 or 90 years ago!). But we’ll settle for good reprints.
Heartiest congratulations on your first decade, Vienna, and here’s to many more! As others have stated, I love your photos, and you have definitely made me curious to check out certain movies, so thank you!
Best wishes,
Laura
